**responsibilities**:

- Negotiate guarantee wording and draft guarantee for checking and approval by the client; liaise with Team Leader and Legal if necessary
- Capture guarantee on E-Tradeline system and create a file Identify potential risk areas for the bank and clients
- Perform compliance and exchange control checks Adhere to compliance procedures, rules, laws and regulations
- Approach Credit for client’s limit approval Negotiate pricing if required Perform financial postings on E-Tradeline system
- Ensure communication to bank and clients is checked against delivery report
- Capture claim on E-Tradeline system Check claim to see if it is compliant
- Identify possible discrepancies on claims and validate against guarantee terms
- Advise clients/bank regarding any discrepancies where applicable; refer to Legal and RM if necessary
- Determine payment terms according to claim letter/guarantee Communicate with client regarding BOP submissions
- Settle currency payments on IBCS as per client’s instructions Report cross-border deals to SARB
- Capture payment details on E-Tradeline and transmit SWIFT messages (foreign currency or Rands) Perform financial postings on E-Tradeline
- Reconcile the following system/accounts:

- Nostro; Suspense accounts; Income accounts; Liabilities; System reports; MetroFile; Invoicing; FCA/CFC
- Keep abreast of market trends and current affairs, Keep abreast of ICC case studies and share internal case studies
- Monitor client’s portfolio trends; Provide leads to stakeholders; Identify cross-selling opportunities
- Process work that has been outsourced from CTF, SCTF and FNB Subsidiaries and structure guarantee and communication accordingly
- Provide best guarantee option to client and supply wording
- Receive and generate queries to internal and external stakeholders; Diarize and monitor the queries
- Capture queries on E-Tradeline; Follow up if applicable and action decisions accordingly
- Follow the loss/refund/special pricing process if applicable
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with all stakeholders, displaying excellent abilities to initiate dialogue, listen, advise, influence and negotiate to achieve win-win outcomes
- Initiate meetings with key stakeholders to track progress, manage expectations and ensure stakeholders’ requirements are delivered
- Preserves relationships despite airing conflicting views and seeks mutual gains when addressing conflicts
