Solar Pv Project Manager

Our client is an emerging Independent Solar Power Producer (IPP) focusing on growth and scalable markets like South Africa and having presence in Canada, South Africa and India. We finance, build, own and operate affordable and high performing solar systems. The organization relies on its track record, team’s successful past experience and its international partnership to penetrate markets by bringing competitive solar solutions for private and government businesses.

**Requirements**:

- Lead the planning and development of solar PV projects, including site assessment, feasibility studies, and the creation of detailed project plans.
- Drive execution of the projects, keeping them on schedule and on budget, while maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Manage project budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective project execution while optimizing project performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure successful project delivery.
- Present project progress, key findings, and recommendations to management.
- Maintain project documentation for various stakeholders and future reference.
- Engage and coordinate internal resources, engineers, consultants, solar installers etc. in preparation and execution of project plans through completion.
- Identify and mitigate project risks/ issues to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Evaluate installer’s progress reports with an eye toward managing project risks.
- Maintain high-quality project standards through rigorous oversight of construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular project updates to senior management.
- In-charge for project installation quality control and project Health and Safety responsibilities.
- Ensure that all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and permits, including environmental and safety compliance.
- Communicate and coordinate with senior management for various approvals and implementation strategies.
- Always represent us with integrity and professionalism in all written and oral communications

**Experience**:

- You are a solution driven person who is self-motivated and ambitious to grow your career exponentially.
- PMP or relevant project management certification.
- Proven experience in managing large scale (MW) solar PV projects, with a strong understanding of the solar energy industry.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and permitting processes related to solar PV projects.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or energy sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of solar energy systems, including PV technology, inverters, and energy storage.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and able to adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, Power Point and MS Project.
- Ability to work independently, learn fast, organize, prioritize and effectively multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Available and willing to travel within South Africa and abroad when required.
- You are a hands-on Project Manager and not just a pencil pusher.
