**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled hydraulic mechanic to join our team at Highpoint Manufacturing. As a hydraulic mechanic, you will work directly under the production manager and be responsible for piping up hydraulic circuits on new products. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of hydraulic systems, and your problem-solving skills will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise. This position requires the ability to work independently and the willingness to work on-site, ensuring that all work is completed within budget and on time.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the production manager to pipe up hydraulic circuits on new products, following specifications and guidelines.
- Organize materials for the job in conjunction with the buying department, ensuring the availability of necessary components and equipment.
- Oversee and sign off on any test procedures required, coordinating with the workshop manager to ensure quality control and compliance.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on hydraulic systems, employing your expertise in the field to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to independently make up hoses and assemble hydraulic components.
- Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and meets the required quality standards.
- Sign off on labor and material usage for job cards completed, maintaining accurate records.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting a safe and productive environment.
- Willingness to work overtime as and when required to meet project deadlines.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of working experience, with at least 3 years of experience in the Hydraulic industry as a technician.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, including the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems effectively.
- Proficiency in piping up hydraulic circuits on new products, following specifications and guidelines.
- Ability to independently make up hoses and assemble hydraulic components.
- Minimum Code 8 driver's license.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
- Willingness to work overtime as and when required.

**Salary**: R20,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month
