Maintenance Planner

Our client, an industrial waste treatment company, currently has the opportunity for a Maintenance Planner with Hands-on experience in CMMS-PM/ maintenance scheduling and planning & scheduling software’s.

Requirements: Relevant Degree/ Diploma in Engineering or Maintenance and 5-year Maintenance Planning & Scheduling hands-on experience in a similar position in a large power generation plant, oil & gas or continuous process plants preferably.

Work Levels and Risks: The daily tasks performed represent risks of accidents of medium kind (blow, fall ) which are controlled by means of procedures, safety devices and HSSE Team supervision.
Exposure to Risks: Works around biogas system. Traffic/vehicles accidents. Risks inherent to the job when performing site inspections. Hands on activities when required

Job context:
Job Holder works in the Maintenance Department under the supervision of the Plant Manager.
Job Holder works during daylight hours
- overtime as needed and required by plant manager.
Job Holder works mainly indoor in air-conditioned location.

Work and communicate with:
Internal: Maintenance Manager, Planner, Operators, mechanical technicians
External: OEM, vendors, Contractors and Sub-Contractors’ operational staff.

Primary purpose: Function: Planning, scheduling Maintenance tasks
Coordination of Operations, Maintenance and Warehouse activities by an efficient use of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to achieve Plant operational targets in a safe and timely manner at a minimum cost.
Develop plant maintenance regime with statutory requirements,

Scope: Coordinate, plan and schedule Maintenance Tasks using Plant CMMS (PM).
Ensure proper and systematic archiving / retrieval of hard and soft documentation using Plant CMMS).
Forecast weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly maintenance schedules, spares and budgets

Plant Main Equipment are:
collectors assemblies hydraulically operated, Biogas loops, steam generator, heat exchangers, fuel oil system, waste boilers, 6.2 MW CHP's and auxiliaries, 6.2 MW alternator, Thermal Energy supplies, chemical storage tanks, heaters, air cooled condenser, emergency diesel generators, coolers, air compressors and auxiliaries, pumps, electrical motors, water, RO systems, agitators, cranes, cars and trucks, HVAC, chillers, chemical dosing units, permeate and potable water treatment plant with reverse osmosis unit, waste water treatment plant, chemical laboratory, MV transformers, MV switchgear, 11 KV interconnection line, frequency converters, DCS system, CCTV, lighting apparatus, metering stations, SCADA, emissions monitoring devices, batteries and UPS, telecommunication system, computers network, building facilities, fences and roads.

Job description / core competencies:
Coordinate and optimise preparation and scheduling of Maintenance, Operations and Warehouse activities in terms of manpower, spare parts, materials and priorities; identify conflicts in between activities, propose optimisation, recovery or contingency plans.
Solicit a Work Permits to Operations for each task
Ensure Maintenance plan is carried out in due time and at a minimum cost and tasks performed are properly recorded in CMMS-PM, issue job completion certificates.
Participate in Plant scheduled shutdowns and turnarounds and Projects preparation & scheduling
Issue CMMS-PM based reports. Prepare periodic look-ahead schedules (4-week, 3-month, and 1-year), prepare weekly and monthly reports.
Administer Document management system in CMMS-PM, control that newly registered documents are approved as per Quality procedures and maintain documents data base updated.
Assist in preparing maintenance budget, work cost estimates, contracts for Maintenance activities.
Prepare monthly and yearly critical spare requirement plans and forecasts
Take on the right initiative to ensure problem will be solved in a timely, cost efficient and sustainable manner, to avoid reoccurrence. Problem solving may often require various parties to support the initiative.
Works closely with Operations & Maintenance Team and Contractors to ensure that activities are carried out efficiently and to high quality standard.

Key accountabilities:
Strictly adhere, promote, and ensure the enforcement of HSSE rules and practices.
Safe and continuous Plan operations at minimum cost.
Efficient use of CMMS-PM.
Communication Skills
Responds/acts upon Plant Engineer’s supervision and direction.
