Procurement and Logistics Manager

We are present in several countries in Africa and in the Americas, and are headquartered in Oslo, Norway.

**Main purpose of position**

Currently we are looking for a **Procurement and Logistics Manager **to be based in Oslo, Norway or Cape Town, South Africa and be part of our global team. As our Procurement and Logistics Manager, you will provide Supply Chain strategy and management services to Release business, identifying vendors and solutions that support product cost reduction, timeline compression and business expansion, and ensuring that goods and services are delivered on time, within budget, compliant with procurement policies and within the expected quality requirement.

**Main responsibilities**
- Provide continuous input towards improvement and optimisation of the operating system
- Produce and maintain strategic documents, policies and procedures
- Procurement Compliance: Develop, implement and maintain procurement policy and procedure in the countries where Release is active
- Advise on local account set up for consumable procurement
- Minimise down time on operations and maximise production through efficient supply chain performance
- Manage supplier defects and claims process
- Manage the warranty claims on behalf of Release
- Recruit and manage supply chain staff to support Release
- Manage the training and follow up of relevant Release personnel for the implementation of the procurement policy and procedure
- Place or coordinate placement of all purchase orders, call offs and contracts under existing frame agreements, in compliance with procurement policy and compliance policy
- Conduct audits of the implementation of procurement policy and procedure
- Ensure the implementation of any local content or local commitments under procurement
- Ensure electronic filing is kept up to date
- Strategic procurement: Develop and implement a strategy for establishing a solid and cost-efficient supply chain for Release
- Identify and qualify new potential vendors to diversify supply and support growth
- Drive the product cost reduction effort together with engineering group
- Set up and maintain frame agreements that match the strategic objectives of Release
- Request proposals, evaluate, negotiate, conclude and contract frame agreements, service agreements and supply accounts
- Set up new solutions for logistics for projects and inventory
- Establish lean, standard processes for procurement of assets services, including spare parts
- Report on monthly basis to project company board
- Manage logistics to support delivery of assets to site

**Qualifications and competencies**
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, B.SC in business administration, Legal degree, B.SC QS or similar
- Advanced proficiency in MSWord, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentations
- Trained in contracts management (FIDIC)
- 8+ years’ experience in Supply Chain
- This includes: 2+ years’ experience in a managerial position with direct reports
- Understanding and interpreting the wider company strategies to sculpt and implement the supply chain strategy.
- Develop sourcing strategies for individual projects to secure on-time deliveries and effective financing.
- Strong ability to interpretate, communicate and deliver on supply chain KPI's.
- Controlling and developing and leading a high performing team
- Strong people manager
