Blue Projects is currently looking to enlarge its team based in South Africa with a Project Manager. We offer this job with a variation that leaves plenty of room for personal leadership and development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reviewing the project specifications to define process requirements
- Designing the structural frame of a construction/equipment in such a way that it shall comply with the functional and safety requirements
- Drawing up the bills of quantities and the execution designs/ submittals for installation
- Performing section sizing calculations by using standard methods (manual and / or automatic calculation) and correctly interpreting the results
- Planning and complying with the provisions and the contractual terms according to the design, permitting and execution schedules
- Meet with the client or other consultants to gain a clearer understanding of what type of design is needed
- Preparing and completing action plans
- Determining system improvements, implementing change, quality assurance
- Creating verifying and validating all Material Take Off (MTOs).
- Presenting reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
- Constantly monitoring and reporting on progress of the project to all stakeholders

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as construction project manager, focus on industrial projects
- Willingness to relocate for extended periods of time or travel, the project is based in South Africa
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Knowledge of the food industry, manufacturing and packaging processes, Layout, Tech-Specs
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent command of English language
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
- PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantag
