**Director of Architecture (Technology) - Johannesburg (Hybrid).**:
This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and driving the commercial architecture strategy for a global technology services business. You will oversee a team of senior commercial managers and architects, ensuring commercial excellence across deal structuring, pricing, compliance, and governance.

The role interfaces closely with sales and finance leadership to deliver profitable, competitive, and risk-managed client solutions.

**Salary**: R 1.8 million p.a.

STI: 50% of Annual Salary | LTI: To Be Confirmed.

Experience in enterprise IT services, telecoms infrastructure, cloud platforms, or technology consulting is essential for this role.

BCX, Dimension Data, T-Systems, Altron, Paratus, EOH, Vodacom Business, SAP, Accenture Technology, or similar firms operating at the intersection of infrastructure, cloud, managed services, and enterprise tech.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- MBA or Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial leadership roles within the following industries is required:

- Enterprise IT services
- Cloud infrastructure and digital transformation
- Telecommunications and network solutions
- Technology consulting / global tech service providers
- Expertise in complex deal structuring, revenue recognition, commercial modelling, and contract negotiation
- Strong experience in B2B solution sales, managed services, and enterprise account engagement
- Familiarity with pricing tools, and commercial governance platforms
- Deep understanding of risk analysis, compliance frameworks, and contractual terms
- Excellent strategic, financial, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive level
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing commercial teams in a high-growth or transformation-focused environment

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the commercial design, review, and approval of enterprise deals and proposals
- Ensure adherence to internal commercial governance policies and client-aligned risk frameworks
- Collaborate with sales and finance to develop winning deal structures that drive profitability and value
- Implement and manage commercial processes, escalation paths, pricing strategy, and performance metrics
- Oversee the commercial input into RFPs, multi-year managed service contracts, and complex client engagements
- Mentor and lead the commercial architecture team, embedding a culture of precision, agility, and strategic thinking
- Provide guidance during contractual negotiations and support executive teams on key commercial decisions
- Contribute commercial insight to strategic planning, business performance reviews, and transformation efforts
