Our client is actively seeking an accomplished Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing and procurement of products and services for their company.

**Start as soon as possible or preferably 01 DECEMBER 23**

**Job Summary**: The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement process within the organization. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective and efficient procurement of goods and services.

**Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Sourcing**:

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure the best value for the organisation.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise cost saving and supply chain efficiency.

**Inventory Management**:

- Monitor inventory levels and adjust procurement strategies as needed.
- Minimize excess inventory and ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.

**Vendor Management**:

- Negotiate and establish favourable terms and contracts with suppliers.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Resolve any supplier-related issues and disputes.

**Budget and Cost Control**:

- Develop and manage the procurement budget.
- Implement cost-saving measures and strategies.
- Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints while maintaining quality standards.

**Compliance and Regulations**:

- Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations affecting procurement and ensure compliance.
- Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes.

**Team Leadership**:

- Supervise and lead a team of procurement professionals.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
- Deep understand of Navision or similar ERP system is a must
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and market trends.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
