**HR Consultant (Generalist)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
- Implement and monitor performance management systems to ensure a high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular HR policy reviews and ensure compliance with labour regulations in South Africa.
- Manage and administer employee benefits, compensation, and payroll processes.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Ensure accurate and timely HR reporting and maintain employee records in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in HR management.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager, preferably in managing HR operations for a large workforce in South Africa.
- Thorough understanding of South African labour laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all organizational levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in handling complex HR issues.
- Proficiency in HRIS, ATS and MS Office Suite and Google Workspace apps.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing HR policies and procedures effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be fully set up to work remotely: have own working laptop, stable internet and back up for loadshedding.
