**Job Purpose**:
The Nail Technician is detail-oriented and provides clients with high-quality manicures, pedicures and nail treatments. The Nail Technician does gel nails, acrylic nails, polygel and sculpting, is specialized in nail art and can create beautiful and unique designs on client’s nails.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Recommending various nail designs and nail art to clients.
- Evaluating the condition of clients’ nails and advising them on proper nail care and suitable nail care treatments.
- Staying up to date on all latest nail products, trends and techniques to ensure that clients are satisfied and keep coming back.
- Providing quality hand and foot massages.
- Answering clients’ nail-related questions and serving as a Nails Specialist within the team.
- Building professional relationships with clients to encourage repeat nail appointments.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at all times (sanitizing nail instruments, cleaning workstation etc.).
- Ensuring that nail supplies are checked (expiry date) and adequately stocked.
- Promoting salon services and promotions, retail consultation and recommendation.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Proven extensive experience as a Nail Technician.
- Detail-orientated.
- Patience and focus - the ability to concentrate for extended periods of time.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Good hygiene practices.
- Excellent knowledge of all salon services and deep product knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and employees. Effective communication skills - speaking and active listening - and customer service skills.

**Qualifications**_:_
- Nail Technician qualification (e.g. level 2 and 3 courses in nail technology or nail treatments)
- Additional certification in Beauty Therapy or Cosmetology is a plus.

- Reporting to: Salon Supervisor.
