ROLE PURPOSE

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead, oversee and support regional mentors and tech champions, ensuring they understand the content and can deliver it effectively

Provide content expertise on each programme

Liaise with external partners on the development of authentic learning scenarios, business cases and assessments

Quality Assurance processes and signoff of all content developed in house or through curriculum developers where required

Determine, manage, control and implement project plans and timelines

Evaluate and manage project risks, escalating where necessary in a timely manner

Actively share and communicate relevant information pertaining to project delivery activities, maintaining relevant Viz boards and other aids to ensure “at a glance” view of project performance

Gather evidence in the correct format from the tech team to ensure effective reporting of deliverables for allocated programme/s

Take accountability for the final project reporting

Provide planned vs actual forecasting reporting to identify potential risks to projects

Ensure continuous improvement of all processes and standard operating procedures

Coordinate tech programme/s schedules, resources, equipment and information across multiple delivery teams

Monitor programme/s quality and performance, taking corrective action as and when needed in a timely manner to prevent risk

Lead project reporting and evidence collection

Lead project process development and improvement

Consolidate mentor reports, statistics, feedback, and development of insights into improvement plans and interventions as required

Hold monthly content sessions with the tech delivery team to inform content strategy and ensure quality enhancement

Create and manage the programme delivery schedule including and balancing job critical skills content to ensure all areas are covered by the mentors

Encourage professional behaviours and technical skills development by challenging and/or encouraging Mentors to deliver to a high standard and model required behaviours themselves

Ensure Mentors and Tech Champs are using up to date and relevant coaching and mentoring strategies

Provide a weekly project report and summary

Monitor course/project/cohort risks and implement mitigations where relevant

Complete HR and company administrative tasks in relation to curriculum mentors; including but not limited to regular mentor reviews, feedback and performance management

Undertake any additional management tasks to ensure that the Curriculum Delivery team is exceeding their targets and performing at an optimal level

Undertake mentorship duties for specific cohorts and tech skills

Manage and develop all team members, conducting regular reviews, providing feedback and driving performance management

Any other ad hoc duties assigned by management and or leadership

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

NQF level 7 or higher qualification in ICT related field

Education related certification and training advantageous

MICT SETA registered assessor/moderator advantageous

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

5 + years ICT sector or educational practitioner experience

Learning/Academic curriculum experience ideal but not essential

Experience working with unemployed youth advantageous

Experience with planning and organization of complex work

Able to create detailed delivery plans

Experience in monitoring and recording successes and provide constructive feedback to team members/reports/other parties

Demonstrates a passion for imparting knowledge to others

Excellent people management skills with previous Team Leader experience

Experience of facilitating large groups of people through learning interventions

Learning/Academic curriculum experience ideal but not essential

Experience working with unemployed youth advantageous

Share knowledge and experiences, while being able to appreciate differing beliefs, opinions, behavioral styles and habits
