- Gauteng- Reporting to Production Manager Key Performance Areas: Quality Assurance and control inspections Incoming raw materials inspection Administration Toolroom Metrology function Supervision of Toolstores Duties/Responsibilities and authority: Assist with the inspection of goods received into stores Inspection of all tooling, jigs, fixtures, gauges and measuring equipment, used in workshop Accept or reject tooling, jigs, fixtures, gauges and measuring equipment and initiate the necessary paperwork Inspection of work in progress and finished machined goods that are in all sections of workshop Accept or reject WP or finished machined goods, and initiate the necessary paperwork Application of the QMS in your job and departmental jobs Must perform any work or duty as required by supervisor, that he is capable of doing, that is in the interest of the Company’s profitability Assist with OHS in the workshop area Requirements/qualifications: Matric Trade Test N6 / Engineering Diploma Must have completed a Metrology course, as well as QA course 5+ years experience in QC/QA within mechanical environment Pumps industry background a definite plus Able to read engineering drawings Worked with measuring instruments, and calibration of measuring equipment An understanding of metals, metrology ISO exposure OHS knowledge Administration skills Computer literate i.e. Excel for reporting on “non-conformist reports” etc Syspro working knowledge a definite plus Healthy, energetic, hands-on approach Team player-
