**Purpose of the Job**:
The Assistant Accountant: Intercompany within the Record to Report SSC function supports the Record to Report Manager, by processing timeously and accurately all intercompany transactions. This role will be responsible for ensuring deliverables are executed as per the time and quality standards agreed in the Record to Report function’s SLA’s.

This role is also a key member of the finance team being responsible for the finalisation of month-end, interim and year-end accounts. This role also ensures that all intercompany loan accounts are settled timeously, and reconciliations are completed and in balance.

**Experience**:

- 2 - 5 years of relevant working experience
- SAP knowledge an advantage

**Qualification**:

- Matric required
- National Diploma or equivalent certification in Finance/Accounting

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Capture, create and accurately process all intercompany journals/adjustments via FSM within agreed SLA
- Process all journals and journal adjustments
- Process all required intercompany balances and required eliminations
- Perform and complete all reconciliations related to intercompany transactions
- Perform and complete required intercompany settlement and clearing transactions
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping for all accounting activities for audit purposes
- Work alongside the Record to report teams to ensure all month end and year end processes are accurate and completed as per the agreed timelines and guidelines
- Where required, escalate requests and queries accurately and timeously to the Record to Report Manager
- Complete all processes, activities and query resolution in line with the SLAs for the Record to Report function
