Material Planner

**Position Title**:Material Planner

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
To ensure the supply of packaging, ingredients and Imported appetizers meet minimum stock level to ensure operational and production continuity. Able to deliver required inventory effectively and efficiently to meet production and commercial requirements. Maintains strong relationship with both internally and externally stakeholders to ensure supply of materials and finish goods meets customer requirements. Work under general supervision.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:
**Material Planning Accuracy**
- Maintain 98% Service level.
- Creating purchase orders as per master production schedule.
- Liaising with external suppliers.
- Liaising with freight forwarders.

**Adhering to agreed Inventory targets.**
- Eliminating out of stocks.
- No excessive stocks.

**SLOBS/SLES**

Manage SLOBs with proactive reduction and preventive plan not to generate them.

**Suppliers Truck turnaround Time**

Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries.

**New Product Development**
- Minimize/Eliminate material write-off due to NDP.

Material is secured timeously to ensure project launch as planned.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2-5 years’ experience in Material Planning in production environment, Preferably FMCG.
- SAP ECC.
- Advanced Excel

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- Import and Incoterms
- Freight forwarding experience.
- Material scheduling.
- Attention to details
- Analytical.

**Abilities & Competence**:

- Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
- Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the costs, production, manufacture and customer order fulfilment.
- Results orientated and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines.
- Strong analytical, planning and problem solving skills.
- Project management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail skills.

**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Matric
- Supply Chain/Logistics Degree or Similar
