Carer

Carers are responsible for assisting residents with their daily living activities in accordance with the individualised care plan. This includes providing comprehensive personal hygiene care to residents such as bathing, showering, assisting with dressing and personal grooming.
- Be compassionate, emphatetic and to genuinely care about and understand the elderly ageing process.
- You would also be required to offer companionship, emotional support and participate in the following daily activities - taking residents for daily walks, accompanying residents to activities and participating if required.
- Should there be any changes or causes of concern in a resident's condition, you are to promptly report this to your senior.
- Carers are to comply with the company policies and procedures related to infection prevention and control as well as occupational health and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and patient/resident person centred care.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Stay updated on healthcare worker functions in the unit and continuously educate yourself.
- Adaptable to changes within the role as needed.
- Maintain a positive relationship with residents, families, and colleagues.
