Regional Lead

**Job Description**:
The Regional Manager is a key member of the top management team, responsible for the provision of business development, client liaison, staff welfare and office leadership in the Region.
This role reports to the CEO and is required to help secure business in the region to drive sustainable growth.
**Operations**:
- Implement business strategies, plans and procedures in the region
- Develops monthly regional management report and other adhoc reports in respect of the region/ clients/ growth/ business development
- Ensure liaison between disciplines and portfolios in the regional office on matters relating to the firm
- Oversee operational practices of the region ensuring that the region runs smoothly, and support Portfolio Leads and Discipline Leads
- Support CEO and Growth Advisor to ensure that the business delivers value and excellence to the clients
- Ensure that all office support is executed in compliance to standardised business practices
- Introduce, as required, business models, systems, and processes, to facilitate growth
- Engage with project leaders in the region (PPs & PMs) to facilitate successful project delivery (alert business to challenges on project delivery)
**Business Development, Client Management and Brand Management**:
- Demonstrate company values: honesty, integrity, good ethics, thoroughness, reliability, respect for self and others
- Maintain pipeline opportunities in the region across all competencies in support of the growth strategy
- Support Portfolio Leads to win, resource and deliver bids / projects
- Contribute to business service offering, through strategic alliances, partnerships
- Maintain existing international contacts and linkages with Mott MacDonald, if applicable
- Establishes self as an identifiable figurehead for the region and create a network that provides leadership for the region
- Actively participate in relevant industry bodies, i.e., chambers of commerce, voluntary associations, etc. to position the business and secure contacts / opportunities
- Maintain, manage and develop existing partnerships, partners / vendors and linkages for the growth of the firm
- Represent the firm as required, and with other senior management team, in the market and with clients. Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and other key stakeholders
- Enhance the Firm profile to ensure the brand is well recognised
- Introduce the firm to new relationships, partners, and possible clients
- Support the region to ensure that all projects and proposals in the region comply with established company directives and result in customer satisfaction.
**Strategic Management**:
- Evaluate and Implement the company's strategy, goals, and objectives as it applies to the region
- Formulate jointly with the CEO, “Strategy on a page” with due consideration of growth in the region in new markets. Consideration to be given to resources required to support portfolios regionally based on revenue growth in the region
- Provide inputs to CEO to grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth
- Provide in-depth knowledge and leadership in accordance with the region across the portfolio
- Drive diversity, equality, and inclusion as a business imperative.
**Engineering and Project Management**:
- Provide in-depth knowledge and leadership in an area of expertise and, when called upon to do so, quickly identify the critical issues in a problem and present these in a clear manner to the clients
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of statutory, technical, applicable engineering standards and practices and ensures technical solutions meet with those (and contractual) obligations and client needs
- Work on identified and agreed:
- Projects as a review, verify and comment senior resource for tender documents, reports, BoQ, drawings, designs etc
- Monitor specific project teams and if required provide advice, review, experience, and guidance. Key areas anticipated: project planning and quality processes, team skills, progress and
deliverables, client interaction.
**Quality Compliance and Risk Management**:
- Co-ordinates region updates relevant items on Detelk
- Ensure office management practices comply with relevant legislation and BMS
**People, Learning and Growth**:
- In interacting with staff, alerts management to issues to mitigate risk and ensure retention of staff in region
- Consider market trends, company skills matrix in line with growth strategy
- Recommends appropriate training where gaps are identified that would impact on the growth strategy
- Act as mentor to assigned mentees
- Continuously learn and innovate; keep up to date with CPD requirements
- Assist in setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth
- Evaluate performance of the region by analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
