The following opportunity exists in SANSA Space Operations in Hartebeesthoek**,**to be filled by an individual with the relevant skills, drive, competencies, and qualifications.

**_ Reporting to the Chief Engineer,_** the Ground Segment Manager will be responsible for managing the radio frequency and electronic infrastructure, and delivery of services and products to all clients, ensuring the alignment of the Technical Support Plan with clients as per contract specifications on time and budget with the overall programme strategy. This role manages the Ground Segment Team, focusing on the repair, maintenance, and optimization of Satellite Ground Segment systems and related infrastructure. The job also requires communication on all technical matters related to the job on a 24/7/365 basis with clients and contract requirements.

Key performance areas will include, but are not limited to:

- Develop, implement, and monitor the Technical Support Plan
- Develop, maintain, and enhance a maintenance management system for SO
- Antennas and all related Systems Design & Management
- Collaboration with Genhouse Maintenance and Project Office
- Budget Management and Procurement
- Reporting and Monitoring
- Stakeholder and Customer Management
- Human Capital Development (HCD)
- Postgraduate BSc Engineering or B.Eng Electronics or RF
- M.Eng advantageous
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in antenna (TT&C) and satellite systems repairs and maintenance, of which at least 5 years should be management experience
- Computer skills (MS Office, Access database, C++, python, LabView, javascript programming language)
- A valid drivers license
