**purpose**:

- To ensure FirstRand complies withregulations relating to banks and the Bank's Act. The credit reporting functionprovides support through the credit analysis of the FirstRand loan portfolio.This requires an in-depth understanding and review of the bank's creditportfolios, the underlying mix and concentrations, drivers of risk and theformulation of expectations of credit performance based on the macroeconomicscenarios. This entails periodic analysis and reporting on the credit financialperformance of the Group, external reporting of similar information, credittechnical and regulatory matters in order to facilitate the effectivemonitoring and management of the credit portfolio.**experience and qualifications**:

- Minimum Qualification - BComm Honours in Accounting orFinance with articles
- Preferred Qualification - Chartered Accountant Experience - 2 - 3 years credit risk or credit reporting experienceadvantageous**additional requirements**:

**responsibilities**:
Analyse and understand credit regulatory reporting in order to identify data issues, reasonability around variances and other regulatory anomalies.

Submit regulatory returns to the SARB by the required deadline. For internal reporting purposes, create / enhance templates for business decision-making. Innovative thinking plays a big role. Investigate daily variances and communicate findings to relevant internal stake holders with a view to resolving the issue and preventing similar occurrences in the future. Report information to stakeholders for various reasons. Engage with internal stakeholders to resolve issues on an ad hoc basis and to improve operational efficiencies amongst the group. Engagement with the South African Reserve Bank on a monthly bank is required for reporting, interpretation and ad hoc queries. Engage with internal and external auditors to provide information, discuss findings and resolve outstanding issues. Assisting with preparation of credit information for inclusion in annual and interim results, budget reports and risk reports. Ensure that a high quality of standards and work ethic is consistently applied. Stay relevant and up-to-date with regulations and new developments.
