Mining company in Rustenburg, in need of a Occupational Hygiene Assistant.

**Main purpose of the job**:
Assist the Occupational Hygienist in maintaining Occupational Hygiene systems and programmes and provides their immediate supervisor with information and to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

**Experience**:

- Ventilation / Occupational Hygiene experience in a mining Environment

**Computer knowledge**:

- MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
- Certificate in COM Elementary (Mine Environment Control)
- Certificate in SAIOH (Occupational Hygiene Assistant)
- Certificate in Basic Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene
- Certificate in Legal Knowledge

**Core Work Outputs**:

- Measures compliance to section 11 & 12 of the mine Health and Safety Act (Occupational Health Risk Assessment and Monitoring)
- Measure compliance to the environmental engineering and occupational hygiene regulations of the mine health and safety act pertaining to monitoring and reporting at business area level
- Ensure the occupational hygiene programmes are properly administered
- Sets daily, weekly and monthly occupational hygiene targets.
- Conduct risk assessment, occupational hygiene measurements and participates in audits
- Provides information and advice regarding occupational hygiene matters related to a specific workplace or section of the operation
