- National Diploma in Safety Management or Equivalent (NQF Level 5)
- Proof of clear criminal record (MIE Check /SAPS Certificate not older then 3 months)
- Shall be registered with Statutory Body, SACPCMP, as CHSM
- Minimum 5 Years experience as SACPCMP Registered CHSM in the construction industry
- Minimum of 5 Years experience as EHS Manager on ESKOM Sites
- A recognized safety certification (minimum: of 2 weeks training) (e.g. SAMTRAC / Modern SHEQ Management course)
- OH&S Act and Regulations (latest version of the Act and regulations);
- COID Act (latest version of the Act);
- Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis Technique;
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Training;
- Health & Safety Auditing;
- Environmental Compliance Recognized Course;
- Emergency Preparedness Coordination Training;
- Working at Heights
- ITIS
- ISO 45001 Implementation
- Previous Power Generation experience
- ESKOM Plant Safety Regulations (PSR) experience
- Clear Criminal Record
- Medically Fit
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence
