Is to Provide effective operational, development, implementation, reporting and supervisory role in a manner that will enhance performance and facilitate the growth of Anova's adolescent programme. Adolescent programme Technical Advisor will be working closely with management, and be responsible for providing programmatic and technical inputs on all operational aspects of the Adolescent support programme.
- Stakeholder liaison and management internal and external for adolescent programme,
- Community engagement &management of relations with community structures working with adolescents
- Engagement with adolescent girls & young women through group dialogues &through other forums to promote HCT, sexual productive health, violence prevention & post-violence care
- Content development and moderation for adolescent related programmes.
- Produce a list of strategic partners and stakeholders that are directly linked with programme goals and objective, constantly work with the various stakeholders to strengthen linkage while increasing reach: depth of content and support of behaviour change interventions
- Develop and maintain contacts and relationship with strategic partners or stakeholder
- Identify advocacy networking opportunity that would impact on the project
- Develop and maintain relationship with relevant government departments, civil society, faith based organisations as well as internal stakeholders that support or impact on the projects core objectives
- Stay updated with changing trends of partners and stakeholder working with Adolescent & young women programme
- Organise campaigns, Group dialogues etc. Aimed at targeting Adolescent & young women - in line with project work plan
- Work together with HCT team (DOH ,Anova ,HIVSA& other stakeholders) to mobilise AGYW for HCT
- Support the development & implementation of package of care interventions for adolescent at health facility level
- Support the implementation of AYFS programme at Anova support sites, working with Paediatric HIV team leader
- Facilitate group dialogs for AGYW, focusing on sexual-reproductive health, Violence prevention & post
- violent prevention care
- Provide training & mentorship to relevant staff (internal & external staff) on key issues related to Management of Adolescent living with HIV (psychosocial, Disclosure, Adherence support, etc.)
- Registration as a professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
- 3 years’ experience as a professional Nurse, Including work within TB,HIV and AIDS environment
- NIMART trained and graduated from the mentorship programme
- Trained on the AYFS programme
- Experience implementing the AYFS at facility level
- Experience in community outreach an advantage
- Experience in engaging with adolescent and youth
- Computer literate
- Driver’s license and willing to travel
