Jnr Attorney

Our client, a well-established and respected law firm based in Stellenbosch, offering professional legal services across various sectors is on the hunt for a Jnr Attorney, or recently Admitted Attorney to join their team. If you are looking for a practice offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional working environment with exposure to various aspects of law (commercial law and litigation), then this is the perfect place for you.
- **Responsibilities**:_

Manage litigation matters from inception to finalisation, including client consultations and file management

Draft court documents, legal opinions, contracts, and legal correspondence

Appear in both Magistrates’ and High Court, where required

Conduct legal research and assist with strategic case planning

Make full and effective use of CaseLines and relevant digital court platforms

Handle commercial matters, including drafting of agreements and client advisory work

Conveyancing experience will be an advantage
- **Minimum requirements**:_

Completed B. Com (LLB)

Admitted Attorney with at least 1 - 2 years’ experience litigation (civil and / or commercial)

Solid and current knowledge of South African law and procedure

Fully computer literate MS Office & CaseLines

Have a valid driver’s license
- **Skills**:_

Excellent communication and drafting skills (Afrikaans and English essential)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Confident, energetic, and motivated

Confidentiality is very important

Strong administrative skills

Meticulous attention to detail

Well spoken, presentable and an eagerness to learn

Diligent, strategic, reliable, adaptable, driven and loyal

Able to work independently and manage a litigation caseload and commercial work

Excellent legal research skills

Must be able to work individually or in a team setting
