**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to provide knowledge management services to the department.
**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-degree (equivalent or higher) in Information or Library Sciences; A minimum of 1 year experience in the knowledge management field; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.

**Key Performance Areas**:
Provide administrative assistance in the identification, implementation and maintenance of knowledge and information services; Contribute to the conversion of tacit and implicit knowledge into institutional knowledge; Provide administrative support in the publishing and dissemination of management information generated within the Department; Administer the process of obtaining access to management and other information generated within the Department.
**Competencies**:
**Knowledge of the following**: Public service legislation, including POPI, PAIA, PAJA; Records management systems; Electronic content management; Policies and prescripts related to records and knowledge management; Project management.
**Skills needed**: Proven computer literacy; Written and verbal communication; Planning and organising; Problem solving; Facilitation and presentation; Analytical; Project management; Innovation.
**Remuneration**:
**R 325 101 - R 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)**
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
