They would like to appoint a Freight Forwarder who has a minimum of 2 years’ logistics experience in international movement of cargo (Air Freight, Sea Freight, Road Freight) and courier express shipments. Shipping experience to SADC countries is preferable.

**OUR CLIENT IS A FREIGHT FOWARDER IN CAPE TOWN WHO COORDINATE INTERNATIONAL MOVEMENT OF CARGO FOR IMPORTERS & EXPORTERS (OR THEIR AGENTS IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD). **They would like to appoint a Freight Forwarder who has a minimum of 2 years’ logistics experience in international movement of cargo (Air Freight, Sea Freight, Road Freight) and courier express shipments. Shipping experience to SADC countries is preferable.

**WHAT DO FREIGHT FORWARDERS DO ON A DAILY BASIS?**

1. QUOTE - estimations and sales
- Analyze clients’ needs
- Source adequate service providers and transporters
- Assess the right selling price
- Package and sell the comprehensive offer to clients

2. SHIP (handle shipments once awarded) - **operations**
- Meticulously organize and check shipping documentation
- Timely arrange bookings, inspections, and any requirements specific to shipment
- Organize collection / loading / delivery / off-loading / storage ( ) as needed
- Follow up with transporters and any service providers involved along the chain
- Provide feedback to clients at every step of the shipments’ operations

3. INVOICE AND FINALISE - **administration**
- Check and capture invoices from service providers in the accounting system
- Initiate payment to service providers at the right time
- Collect payment from clients at the right time
- Organise and save documentation to finalise and close the file
- Does negotiating & calculating profitability ignite you?
