Purpose

The base of our client’s chat journey is Short Message Service (SMS). In this role, Clickatell seeks individuals that will break new ground with clear goals.

The SMS landscape is old and very competitive but filled with opportunities to punch a hole in the universe, with our current focus on increasing the quantity and quality of suppliers in our supply chain.

This role will enable a pacesetter to effectively manage the suppliers while optimizing for the reduction in our absolute cost of goods sold (COGS)

We Do The Right Things

Responsibilities of the Role
- Define and drive bold initiatives that will reduce the associated cost of our SMS products
- Expand our market coverage in the most cost-efficient manner through the onboarding of new SMS suppliers with clear unique selling points
- Manage all existing key suppliers, advocate internally, set clear quarterly Joint Business Plans (JBP), and establish key relationships with decision-makers
- Execute predefined connectivity strategy related to connecting with global SMS hubs and direct Mobile Network Operators (MNO)
- Participate in relevant conferences and events aimed at supporting the growth of Clickatell’s brand, supplier base, and other defined objectives
- Organize and disseminate industry-specific information internally and be seen as the expert on SMS product and market
- Establish clear SMS product governance and policies

Requirements of the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Social Sciences
- Work Experience
- Working is a multi-diverse organization
- Exeprience reporting and working in a Remote structured company across different time-zones
- 7+ years experience in a Communication Platform as a Service (CpaaS) company
- Knowledged of the SMS industry and its stakeholders
- Established relationships at leading aggregators and MNOs
- In-depth knowledge of various SMS regulations in various markets
- Good negotiator
- Experience in handling large commercial transactions
- Proficient in the use of administrative tools like Jira, Salesforce, and Product Management tools
- Willing to travel 5% -15% in a year
