The ECGIP Sales Associate is a 12 months program and will report to the SADC & East Africa Sales Director, GE Gas Power. They will provide commercial support for the Sales Managers and in early project screening and planning rhythm for sales opportunities and compiling strategic presentations.
**Essential Responsibilities**:
- Support Sales team with weekly pacing, tracking actions and keeping team.
- Support weekly in the data quality metrics and management
- Drive the account/project planning review rhythm
- Maintain a tracker of all customer requests, proposal issuance status and following up with customers on PO issuance with support from the Sales Managers.
- Support the commercial operations in all commercial operations metric tracking and compilation of proposals/RFI/RFP’s
- Maintain repository of key documents - NDA’s, MOU’s etc
- Support with necessary assistance with due diligence - KYC/KYP requirements on both the project and the customer.
- Engage customers on key workstreams /follow-ups
- To support in the development of practical and innovative ways to identify and meet sales targets.
- Be involved in short-term and long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.
- Supports Sales Managers in developing effective market and transactional strategies in line with the business objectives
- To Support Sales Managers in implementing sales strategies and drive to closure required process through all internal and external process steps
- May participate in negotiating contracts and align with negotiating teams on all aspects of assigned projects
- Supports team to drive orders and growth opportunities for GE Power
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Proven analytical and organizational ability.
- Open to travel up to %20 within South Africa.
- Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in South Africa.
**Desired Qualifications**:
- Bachelor of engineering is a plus.
- Prior exposure or basic knowledge of ERP tools.
- Prior experience in sales and/or commercial.
- Prior experience in energy industry or industrial space.
- Must have demonstrated leadership ability and initiative.
- High performer with a passion to achieve positive business results.
- Willingness and openness to learn and expand skill set.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment.
