**Responsibilities**:

- General management of the operations and laboratory personnel
- for continuous improvement and training when required
- Approval and Mastering of Standard Operating Procedures
- Approval of new analytical methods and implementation thereof
- Implement decisive action regarding all Out of Specification Investigations and Results, Change Controls and Deviations
- Ensuring compliant calibration/verification status of all equipment used for analysis
- Ensuring that all complaints are followed up through his/her own investigation or delegation of the task
- Approval of the Quality Manual and Procedures as well as all amendments updates of these procedures
- Oversees staff training and implementation of Quality Systems
- Required to ensure that the standard of Quality Assurance is maintained at the level and to ensure that the Quality System is achieving SAHPRA Requirements
- Mediate in any dispute concerning the Quality system either by arbitration or by issuing directive if it complies with the requirements of the Quality System
- Setting and maintaining the Service Level in the company
- Assume responsibility and/or delegation for the duties of any unfilled positions
- Reports directly to CEO and/or Managing Member regarding all aspects of the business

Required Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate in Analytical Chemistry / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Pharmacy or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of GMP and the Pharmaceutical Industry Laws and Regulations and Ethics.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Laboratory management or similar industry /environment
- Extensive knowledge and experience implementing GMP practices

Must have:

- Good leadership, management, and communication skills
- Must display high levels of integrity, ethics, and morals.
- Continuous improvement driver
- Must be extremely disciplined.
- Fluent in English (written and oral)
- Must be able to work under constant pressure.
- Be able to stay organized in busy environment.
- Ability to stay focused.
- Analytical skills.
- Ability to identify, execute and prioritize work tasks/projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and team-oriented with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R420,000.00 - R720,000.00 per year
