The Data and Engineering division within Everyday Banking Physical Channels is looking for a Data Analyst
- To support in providing infrastructure, tools and frameworks used to deliver end-to-end solutions to business problems.
- Build against scalable infrastructure in supporting the delivery of business insights from raw data sources with a focus on collecting, managing, governing, analysing, visualising data and developing analytical solutions.
- Responsible for expanding and optimising the organisation’s data and data pipeline architecture, whilst optimising data flow collection and distribution to ultimately support data initiatives.
**Job Description**:
Experience Required
- Data and Analytics
- Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets.
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
- A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores.
- Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL)
Technical Competencies
- SQL Language Query
- Knowledge Classification
- IT Applications
- Data Analysis including relevant supporting tools SQL client, MS Excel etc.
- Experience with data integration solutions
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB etc.
- Exposure and or experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Exposure and or experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow, StreamSets etc.
- Exposure and or experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.
- Exposure and or experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java etc.
- Exposure and or experience with database administration
Education
Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
