**Overview**:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager the successful incumbent will be responsible for the checking and supervising monthly payroll to ensure accurate and timeous processing.

**Qualifications**:

- Matric
- Recognisable Payroll Certificate or Diploma or Degree

**Experience**:

- Working experience with CRS advantageous
- At least 5 years payroll experience, with 2 years in a supervisory capacity

**Duties**:

- Efficient and on time payment of salaries claims and third parties at the end of each month
- Accurate reconciliation of deductions and invoices each month, e.g., medical aid, retirement funds
- Timeous submission of statutory taxes by the deadline of each month
- Monthly costing and balancing of payrolls
- Monthly reconciliation and payment of salaries, claims and third parties
- Monthly, bi-annual, and annual submission of statutory deductions including balancing
- Review payroll input done by payroll administrators
- Overall checking of the payroll per system
- Implement new processes to improve working standards and minimise errors
- Performance management and coaching of payroll administrators
- Prepare the salaries and third-party payments for approval
- Coordinate the reconciliation and payment of third-party payments, including submission of statutory compliance documents
- Reconciliation of third-party payments, e.g., medical aid, provident fund, etc.
- Monthly, bi-annual, and annual submission of statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, UIF, SDL, COID, VET levy, etc.), including balancing and error corrections
- Ensuring the payment and costing pack is ready for sign off
- Balance Journals for each company and division
- Assist payroll accountant where needed
- Resolve day-to-day tax and payroll queries
- Keep the line manager appraised of all projects and status of deliverables
