**Job title**:Cash Clerk - Sports Betting

**Reports to**:Branch management

**Character**
- A World Sports Betting cashier is the face of the company, and therefore plays a vital role in influencing the perception that the customer holds of the business. A clerk therefore needs to be outgoing and friendly, whilst still maintaining a professional relationship with the customer. They need to be able to handle unfriendly and abusive customers in accordance with World Sports Betting procedures, and act in accordance with the code of conduct of the company at all times.
- Must be honest and reliable as they will be working with cash.
- Must be able to work under pressure, making mínimal errors.
- Needs to be numerically and computer literate, as this is a vital aspect of the job.
- Needs to always be immaculately presented and well groomed at all times.

**Primary Duties**
- Lay cash and account bets for customers, and have a thorough understanding of all products, markets, and bet types that World Sports Betting offers.
- Assist with customer queries and issues until a manager is required.
- Must be able to handle and balance cash, as the clerk is deemed responsible for his/her money.
- Responsible for accurately recording payouts and cancelled tickets, safeguarding these tickets, and handing them to management at the end of each business day
- Understand bet limit amounts where authorization and/or an audit is required. These change continuously with company policy.
- Knowledge of all customer account deposit and withdrawal processes.
- Knowledge of all EFT and FICA requirements which relate to the bookmaking industry.
- Understand how to handle a lost ticket, and the procedures this entails
- Follow the weekly roster. Staff must adhere to shift times as specified

**Secondary Duties**
- Assist in setting up and maintaining a branch when required. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
*Removing outdated fixtures and posters within the branch.
- Reporting any branch issues/shortcomings to management.

*Putting up updated fixtures, horseracing forms, posters, and results.

*Setting up betting displays and screens for horse racing.

*Setting up sports and lotto displays and screens.
- Cleaning the store in order to ensure that high standards of hygiene are upheld.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: R1.00 - R2.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Nelspruit, Mpumalanga: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
