**Position Overview**:
As a Senior Waiter/Waitress at Selva Cafe & Co, you will play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding dining experience to our guests. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual who not only possesses excellent serving skills but also takes pride in ensuring customer satisfaction. The Senior Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for supervising and supporting the waitstaff team, maintaining high service standards, and contributing to the overall success of the dining establishment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service Excellence**:

- Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Guide guests through the menu, providing recommendations and answering inquiries.
- Ensure an exceptional dining experience through attentive and personalized service.
- **Supervision and Team Support**:

- Oversee and coordinate the activities of the waitstaff team.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff, ensuring smooth operations during shifts.
- Conduct training sessions for new team members and assist in their onboarding.
- **Order Management**:

- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen promptly.
- Monitor the preparation and delivery of food and beverages to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Handle special requests and dietary restrictions with care.
- **Upselling and Promotion**:

- Promote daily specials, new menu items, and promotions effectively.
- Upsell additional items and beverages to enhance the overall guest experience.
- **Table Maintenance**:

- Ensure cleanliness and proper setup of tables before and after service.
- Monitor the dining area for any issues and address them promptly.
- **Handling Guest Concerns**:

- Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Report any recurring issues to the management for improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a cafe/coffee shop.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

Pay: R24,00 - R29,00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 3 years (required)
