Full ownership of the Group’s financial reporting function
- Group treasury - bank recons, call account management, weekly cash forecast etc)
- Oversee banking admin and maintain relationship with bankers
- Oversee forex trading function
- Group’s financial reporting obligations, with responsibility for preparation and lodgement of compliant full year, half year and quarterly consolidated financial accounts
- Preparation of Group’s statutory taxation obligations (including Income Tax and VAT), with responsibility for preparation and lodgment
- Applications for tax clearance certificates, Attend to SARS audits
- Co-ordinate the annual Group audit process
- Prepare audit packs, documents and schedules required by the external auditors
- Review systems of financial control, policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement of the internal control framework.
- Ensure finance ledgers are maintained on a timely basis, are accurate and complete, and structured for the dual purpose of providing relevant information to internal users and meeting statutory obligations
- Ensure reporting functions and responses to ad hoc requests for financial related information are appropriately delivered
- Preparation of the balance sheet and cash flow budgets
- Prepare month-end files with supporting documentation
- Maintain proper fixed asset registers with supporting documents
- Full ownership of the group consolidation function
- Coordinating the annual BEE verification
- Prepare monthly finance reporting packs and analysis
- Ad hoc tasks and projects

- B. Com Degree
- 1-3 years post articles work experience in a financial position
- An aptitude for numbers and good attention to detail
- Experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
- Proficiency in English
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven ability to perform debtor’s reconciliations
- Good MS Excel and Word capabilities
