Assurance Officer

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Your roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- The implementation of any new standards or certifications;
- Maintenance of existing certifications;
- Custodian of Teraco quality management system including all the procedures, policies, work instructions and forms;
- Preparation and Collation of Monthly ESG reporting;
- Plan and execute internal audit schedule;
- Perform and co-ordinate internal audits for ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO14001, ISO50001 and PCI, including site additions and transitions.
- Perform other quality management, information security, environmental and energy audits of new procedures or risk areas identified, identify continuous improvement/ remediation activities, negotiate resolution and timelines and ensure closure of audit findings
- Involvement and or lead 3rd party client audits and ensure closure of audit findings e.g. Trusight, SSPA etc
- Maintenance and administration of all documentation and calendars related to the above. This includes management and maintenance of the MyZone (Teraco Intranet) Sharepoint.
- Assist functional areas with or compile new procedures, policies, work instructions and forms as and when required.

OBJECTIVES
- MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Implementation & maintenance of all Teraco Certifications Standard;
- Ensure that the organization’s Integrated Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, ISO27001, ISO14001, ISO50001, PCI, SSPA, ISAE3402, Trusight and regulatory/legal requirements. Note, from time to time, additional standards will be adopted and must be consolidated into the Integrated Management System.
- Support the Head of Operations & Assurance Manager in undertaking the Business Risk/ Issues Analysis and documenting the results for submission to the Operational Risk Meeting.
- Support the Head of Operations and Assurance Manager in developing, maintaining and reviewing the Risk Register and ESG Reporting Framework in particular as it relates to operation risks, compliance risk and goals reporting;
- Conduct the Risk and Compliance/ Quality Management Induction presentations;
- Develop and implement a quality management program and promote a culture of continuous improvement, including championing proactive identification and reporting of quality issues by all staff, with action plans to address each risk/quality issue identified;
- Custodian of company policy & process documentation control;
- Ensure that various appropriate infrastructure elements and artefacts are kept up to date and are available; including documents, periodicals, manuals, policy documents, etc;
- Develop and execute, an internal audit plan in consultation with Functional Managers, Assurance Manager and Head of Operations;
- Performing periodic compliance audits of standard operating procedures, policies, processes and certification requirements;
- Identify and document compliance breaches and work with the Functional Managers to establish remedial actions, and monitoring their implementation within agreed timelines.
- Prepare for and lead audit reviews conducted by clients;
- Compile and lead action plan to address any deficiencies identified in client audits and SLA review;
- Prepare responses to client questionnaires in respect of compliance and SLA management.
- Annual ISO9001 and ISO27001 Awareness Training.
