Commodity Manager

**Overall objective of Job Function**

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic and results-driven **Commodity Manager** to lead and manage key commodity supply lines. This role is critical to achieving our total cost objectives, ensuring continuity of supply, maintaining quality standards, and enhancing supply chain flexibility to meet evolving client needs.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with business and technology requirements
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, cost-efficiency, and delivery performance
- Negotiate contracts and pricing structures to optimize value across the supply base
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business objectives into supply chain requirements
- Monitor market trends and supply risks to proactively adjust sourcing strategies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes
- Present sourcing strategies, project plans, and performance updates to senior leadership
- Manage contracts with annual spend ranging from R0 to R8 million

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in purchasing or commodity management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including engagement with international suppliers
- Intermediate-level expertise in sourcing and negotiation
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to interpret data and execute project plans effectively
- Experience in managing contracts and supplier performance within defined spend thresholds

Pay: R45 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month
