Our client, a well-known leader in its field based in Cape Town is currently recruiting for **a Welding Training Assessor** **/Facilitator**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assess and review the learning activities associated with learners and employees according to the VACCS rule.
- Keep up to date with developing technology adhering to Company policies and procedures
- Manage a diverse caseload of learners irrespective of race, colour or creed, including nationality or language differences.
- Interview and recruit learners on different programmes within our scope of training.
- Produce and monitor individual learning plans for students and contribute to their updating (including Key Skills).
- Conduct work-based assessments and internal verification in line with Merseta, Chieta, SAQA, NQF and ETD standards.
- Develop appropriate work-based assessment materials, resources and learning aids.
- Extract the practical and related skills to maximise student learning and training.
- Provide appropriate individual guidance and support to learners and refer to specialist agencies where appropriate.
- Engage in the implementation of Company Quality management systems.
- Show a commitment to ensuring that employees learn in a safe environment.
- Participate in relevant and appropriate training and development areas as required
- in teamwork or individually.
- To develop partnership working with selected employers, organisations and companies.
- To deliver Company training on or off the premises to the Operations Department in line with company needs and requirements.
- To complete learner reviews in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- To maintain comprehensive records in accordance with the companies’ policies and procedures.
- Be able to upload assessment data e.g. photographs, POE’s, complete Daily schedules and Weekly Report writing and program formulations.
- Be responsible and keep Monthly and Annual stock of all machinery, tools, accessories and consumables in training centre in assistance from training assistant.
- Request stock from stores on form FS004 obtainable from stores/manager.
- Manage daily assessments and tasks according to job description and instructions.
- Give guidance and instructions to training assistant in the smooth running of training facilities.
- Perform weekly toolbox talks and check that learners complete Feedback Forms Take full ownership of training in terms of safety training responsibilities.
- Take full ownership of staff and training in terms of safety, supervision and training responsibilities.
- These duties may be amended from time to time by the line manager.
