As the Equity Analyst you will play a crucial role in conducting thorough research and analysis of individual stocks, industries, and market trends. Your expertise will help guide investment strategies, evaluate potential investment opportunities, and provide key recommendations to the portfolio manager. You will do this by Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of individual stocks, including financial statements, industry trends, and competitive landscapes. Monitor and interpret market data, economic indicators, and relevant news to identify investment opportunities and potential risks. Develop financial models and valuation techniques to assess the intrinsic value of companies and determine their investment potential. Prepare detailed reports and investment recommendations for the portfolio manager, highlighting key findings and supporting data. Monitor and track the performance of assigned stocks and portfolios, making timely adjustments and recommendations as needed.

**Where you’ll be doing it**

You’ll be joining a small asset manager with R10 billion AUM and still growing. They are a top performing asset manager based in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. What makes them unique is that they follow a thematic approach with a valuation underpinning. They are also big into the alternative space and expressing their views through these types of instruments. You’ll be based in a professional office in Tygervalley, Cape Town with a gorgeous view and you’ll be surrounded but exceptional market leaders.

**What you’ll need**

A completed investment related degree is essential as well as CFA Level. You also need to have gained at least 1 year’s experience doing equity or research analysis at an asset manager. Your financial modeling skills will set you apart from the rest. You also need to be proficient in using finance research tools, databases and market data platforms.
