**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to join our dynamic team at Van Doorn SA. The Financial Director will play a pivotal role in managing the company's financial health, ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations, and contributing to the strategic growth of the business. This individual will oversee financial planning, risk management, reporting, and will work closely with senior management to drive business objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the financial strategy, planning, and forecasting for the company, ensuring alignment with business goals and market conditions.
- Manage the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and budgets, adhering to local accounting standards and international financial regulations.
- Oversee cash flow management, working capital optimization, and investment strategies to support business growth.
- Ensure compliance with all South African financial regulations and international trade standards in export operations.
- Develop and implement internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends to provide insights and recommendations to the executive team.
- Lead financial risk management strategies, including currency exchange fluctuations, export-related risks, and credit management.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to optimize financial operations and profitability.
- Ensure the company’s tax obligations and reporting requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide strategic financial insights to guide decision-making processes for business expansion, product development, and market diversification.
- Liaise with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies as needed.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CA(SA), CFA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a senior financial management role, ideally in an export, manufacturing, or international trade environment.
- Strong knowledge of South African financial regulations and international accounting standards.
- Proven experience in managing and mitigating financial risks, particularly in the export industry.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Familiarity with ERP and financial software systems
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- In-depth understanding of foreign exchange markets, international trade finance, and export-related financial operations.

**Additional Skills**:

- Strong proficiency in financial reporting tools and Microsoft
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and manage cross-border financial operations.
