We are currently looking for a junior legal advisor to join the Amdec Property Services team based at Melrose Arch.

**KEY RESPONSIBLITIES OF THE ROLE**
- LEASING - the drafting of all documents relating to Leasing (offers, leases, generator agreements, parking leases, storeroom leases, cession documents, renewals), reviewing and considering comments from potential tenants on Lease documents, interpreting lease provisions, considering draft bank guarantee wording, drafting special provisions.
- OTHER AGREEMENTS - putting in place a variety of agreements with third parties, including service level agreements.
- DISPUTES - dealing with a variety of disputes, including disputes with the City of Johannesburg, Tenants, Service Providers, public liability matters.
- COMPANY SECRETARIAL - ensuring compliance with Companies Act in respect of various matters, including filing annual returns, completing compliance checklists, drafting resolutions, submitting required CoR forms to CIPC from time to time - change directors, update memorandum of incorporation etc, compiling meeting packs, compiling minutes of meetings.
- PROPERTY - assisting with all matters relating to the governance and ownership of property - body corporate compliance, dispute resolution among members, trustee meetings, member meetings, property ownership issues (e.g., rates, levies), landlord and tenant relationship, consents to transfer, insurance claims, health and safety matters.
- BBBEE - compiling information for BBBEE audit, driving verification process.
- COMPLIANCE - understanding compliance requirements in respect of FICA, PPRA, POPIA and other legislation as may be applicable from time to time.
- Good drafting skills, good business acumen, commercially minded, strong communication skills, and time management

**REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE**
- Admitted attorney (non-negotiable)
- Must have 2 - 4 years post qualification experience (post admission)
- Must have commercial drafting (correspondence and contracts), litigation and dispute resolution experience (non-negotiable)
- Knowledge and experience of property industry (preferred)
- Well-rounded individual with diverse professional experience
