**Minimum Qualifications**
- **NQF Level 5 qualification** (or higher) in **Film Production**, **Multimedia Design**, **Video Production**, **Media Studies**, or a related field.
- Certification in cinematography, post-production, or digital editing (advantageous).
**Experience**
- Minimum of **8 years of professional experience** in videography, video editing, and content creation.
- Proven portfolio showcasing a variety of video styles (e.g., promotional, corporate, social media, documentary, event coverage).
**Core Competencies**
- **Videography & Production**:
- Skilled in planning, setting up, and executing video shoots, including lighting, sound, and camera operation.
- Ability to direct and film interviews, B-roll footage, events, and scripted scenes.
- **Post-Production**:
- Proficient in editing software such as **Adobe Premiere Pro**, **Final Cut Pro**, and **DaVinci Resolve**.
- Knowledge of color grading, audio syncing, transitions, motion graphics, and subtitling.
- Experience in compressing and exporting video files for multiple platforms and devices.
- **Creative Direction & Storytelling**:
- Strong understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to develop creative concepts and scripts for video content that aligns with brand or campaign objectives.
- **Equipment Knowledge**:
- Proficiency with professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras, gimbals, microphones, lighting kits, and tripods.
- Ability to troubleshoot common technical issues on set.
- **Digital & Social Media Integration**:
- Familiarity with formatting content for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Understanding of platform-specific video specs, durations, and audience engagement strategies.
**Soft Skills**
- High attention to detail and creativity.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Comfortable receiving and implementing feedback.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, travel, and shoot on-location when necessary.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan, film, and edit high-quality video content for a variety of uses (e.g., internal comms, advertising, digital campaigns, events).
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and communications teams to ensure video content aligns with brand identity and goals.
- Manage and maintain video equipment, assets, and archive systems.
- Stay updated with video trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously elevate content quality.
- Ensure all content is delivered on time and within scope.
