**Job Advert Summary**:
Rand Water is looking for an Executive Manager under Bulk Water Distribution in the Operations Division to provide leadership and management to Bulk Water Distribution in order to effectively manage the water disinfection, pumping and management of certain reservoir levels of potable water to set water quality and quantity standards in time, at the right price and quantity and to ensure efficiencies and optimisation of networks. Furthermore, to mentor and coach new managers.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Minimum Education: Engineering Qualification or equivalent (NQF Level 7).
- Desired Education (added advantage): G.C.C. Government Certificate of Competence. Preferably with a management qualification and Professional Registration (ECSA).
- Minimum Experience: 5 years proven management experience in technical / operational environment.
- Desired Experience: 8 years operational in the Water Industry.

**Primary Duties**:

- Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and development so as to meet agreed organizational plans within budget and timelines.
- Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development.
- Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements.
- Management of budget for Bulk Water Distribution.
- Liaise with other Executive Managers, General Managers and Chief Operating Officer so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, operating philosophies, purpose and achievement.
- Embrace organizational mission, vision, strategy and strategic objectives.
- Enhance stakeholder management.
- Contribute to the evaluation of strategy and performance of Bulk Water Services Business Unit.
- Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal requirements and environmental policies.
- Manage and control site in terms of National Key Point owner.
- Ensure that the divisional risks are assessed regularly in order to align to the Corporate Strategic Risks.
- Management of staff, mentoring, coaching and development.
