Our client is a mining services company that are global leaders in manufacturing quality Certified Reference Materials for mining and exploration industries. The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that the external and internal quality requirements of our products, services and systems are fit for their purpose and are maintained at all times. They will provide all quality services and feedback to management and customers as required.

**Responsibilities**:
Effectively managing the Quality team
Ensuring SOP compliance
Designing, setting up and maintaining all QMS requirements for ISO9001,17034 and 17043 including: Creating and reviewing all SOP, Policies, Records and documents in QMS; Completing annual audits, supplier/subcontractor evaluations, customer surveys, management reviews and lab visits
Coordinating project tasks for AMIS Proficiency Testing programs including: Compiling Certificates, Proficiency Reports and MSDS's for all projects; Conducting laboratory quality monitoring; After sales liaison to receive feedback from customers on product quality; Ensuring the recertification of slow-moving products; Investigating and reporting on new potential products and new markets for these products
**Ensuring compliance with**: NNR, DoE, SHEQ and the PGM certificate
Meticulously completing all administrative tasks including Document control system and record control
Reviewing and assessing all proficiency testing laboratories to ensure necessary compliance and accreditations
Managing the SLA system for all participating laboratories
Compiling statistical evaluations of laboratory results
Maintaining all QMS and Compliance systems
Tracking all open projects
Report writing and timeous record keeping and filing
**Primary liaison with**: Customers and business partners at the highest technical levels; Internal and external business teams; Service providers and suppliers; ISO, NNR and DoE Regulatory Authorities

**Requirements**: Qualification and Skill

BSc Degree or National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry
Registration with the relevant Statutory Body (e.g. SACNASP)
Minimum of 8 years relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in management
Industry exposure does not necessarily have to be mining industry as agricultural and food industry will be considered as long as ample laboratory experience
Knowledgeable in IS0 9001, ISO 17025, Chemistry, Statistics, Quality Management, laboratory quality assurance, NNR, DoE and SHEQ
Intermediate skills in MS Office
Extensive knowledge of chemical methods and principles
Technical Signatory
Strong leadership skills with high emotional intelligence
Persuasive and articulate - communicates clearly and reasons logically
Professional, personable and service-orientated
Action orientated and self-driven - demonstrates a readiness to make decisions and take action
Strong technical writing and presentation skills
Must have a driver's licenc
