Role Purpose
To execute and manage the Credit Risk strategy with a view of maximising the return on capital employed whilst maintaining an acceptable level of risk in terms of the Company's credit ethics
Are you someone who can
- Manages credit product risk and profitability and makes recommendations for a portfolio of credit clients through analyses; Monitors associated risks.
- Drive an Increase in average balance of assets as defined in the Financial Performance Report of the business
- Reduce percentage of Non - performing loans as a percentage of total performing book based on the business' performance
- Reduce Bad debts as a percentage of performing loans utilisation based on effective lending principals applied during approval
- Deliver exceptional Credit service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
- Ensure average approval turnaround time against target to ensure retention of clients.
- Assess credit proposals in detail including assessment of Financials, Management Accounts, Budgets, Cash flow Projections, Debtors Age Analysis & Creditors Schedule and all business risks and recommend and approve Credit Applications
- Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
- Manage and ensure compliance with Regulators as part of the FNB Team.
- Implement identified opportunities to increase profit of existing customers by providing innovative campaigns while maintaining risk within suitable boundaries
Leadership and Stakeholder Management (Clients and Internal)
- Build relationships that allow for the managing of expectations; the sharing of knowledge and diverse insights; and the creation of buy-in
- Contribute to sustaining a competitive edge through external networking, benchmarking and representation on related forums
- Design and deliver customer service solutions, systems and interactions aligned to Organisational values and service standards
- Establish, manage and maintain sound relationships with stakeholders based on trust that builds the brand
- Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provide of advice to relevant stakeholders
- Provide thought leadership and expertise
- Provide input into, and implement, corporate governance, compliance, integrity and ethics policies in are of accountability to identify and manage risk exposure
People:
- Implement talent management practices in line with HR policies and procedures
- Ensure that each employee prepares a personal development plan that is implemented and reviewed as required
- Provide direction, coaching, and regular feedback to employees to improve performance and implement performance improvement initiatives
- Ensure implement employment equity plan target achievement in all recruitment and employee movement activities Identify current and future human capital needs and skills requirements
- Influence the understanding and adoption of the organisational strategic direction
