**_Plan and manage capacity and service levels _**
- Coordinate with other divisions to ensure sufficient transport capacity
- Coordinate with Commercial to ensure sufficient plug in capacity for trucks
- Manage operational service levels in accordance with transport SLA
- Daily planning of transport
- Most profitable loads allocated
- Manage and distribute transport rolling plan daily
- Source loads and maintain contracts including rates outside of the company

**_ Execute Daily Operations of Trucks and Owner Drivers_**
- Allocation of loads in Navision and do CTO''s
- Assisting Commercial for transport quotes to all clients
- Update load information to reflect load status
- Ensure accuracy and utilisation of information on the Transport App
- Follow up on daily loads using available systems/App and report to the correct person
- Ensure all necessary systems are updated constantly
- Manage the yearly loading scheduling for areas outside of Cape Town
- Implementation of the Drivers App and ensure accurate usage thereof
- Assist and resolve drivers operational hurdles/challenges

**_Manage and resolve invoice and job card queries_**
- Resolve invoice and job card queries
- Ensure non company client rates is maintained and communicated to Finance for invoicing
- Approve out of the norm costs for invoicing for payment and recovered
- Deviations - ensure correct responsible party and follow up on outstanding payments

**_ Manage your team in conjunction with HR and Exco_**
- Plan and budget staff according to seasonal requirements
- Plan and manage staff leave in accordance with operational and statuatory requiements
- Develop staff ensuring continuous learning of the Team to improve overall staff competencies
- Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with company goals,values, strategy and policies
- Maintain a credible leadership profile in line with the Organisational culture both internally and externally
- Ensure all staff performance are managed in accordance with performance appraisal system
- Ensure staff have the tools (hardware) and support to be effective and productive
- Ensure the team is functioning as a productive positive unit, working together well with other departments, while maintaining high work standards

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Relevant tertiary qualification
