Multi Award Winning Nursery-Stodels is looking for a dynamic, physically fit **Department Manager** to head up the indoor Shop and Lifestyle departments at the **Bergvliet Garden Centre.** The position will report directly to the Branch Manager.

**Main duties**:

- Managing Profitability of the department
- Report analysis (slow movers, dead stock)
- Management & Development of staff
- Stock management
- Ensuring that merchandising & displays are of a high standard
- Driving a high level of customer service
- Effective stock management and optimize branch layout opportunities

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years experience in Retail Management
- Computer literate
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Proven leadership abilities and management of staff
- Must be self motivated and assertive
- A successful track record in sales, profit management, stock management

including purchase management, merchandise control, tactical and strategic

planning.
- Must be organised, efficient, creative and assertive with strong communication

skills on all levels

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
