Production and Supply Planner

**The key objectives of this role are**:
- To ensure the availability of products to deliver customer orders on time and in full, and within the targeted inventory policies.
- To reduce waste, rework and handling of products or activities that could deliver efficiencies and/or minimize cost within the supply chain.
- To track, measure, analyze and report on key performance indicators for sales & operational planning.
**Responsibilities**:
- To review and maintain the master and transactional data on company system/'s that is essential to the supply planning function.
- To determine and prepare the weekly unconstrained production plans. To review the unconstrained production plans and make adjustments based on capacity, availability of raw materials, priority and incoming schedules. To report on adjustments made to the production plans for consideration. To create, schedule, and coordinate the on time and in full completion of the production orders by working closely with the production teams.
- To report on non-adherence or deviations of production schedule for consideration.
- To create and maintain all bill of materials. To review the accuracy of raw materials utilised and costs for completed production orders and report on deviations for
- consideration.
- To maintain oversight of the available capacity in the production rooms. To monitor the weekly capacity utilisation and report on bottlenecks and under utilisation for consideration.
- To determine and prepare the weekly unconstrained inter DC transfer plans. To review the unconstrained transfer plans and make adjustments based on load optimisation, transport schedules, availability of products and incoming schedules. To keep record of adjustments made to the transfer plans for consideration. To create, schedule, and coordinate the on time and in full completion of the transfer orders by working closely with the DC's. To report on non-adherence or deviations of transfer orders for consideration.
- To maintain oversight of load optimisation and transport schedules. To monitor and report on bottlenecks and under utilisation of loads/schedules for consideration.
- To schedule the monthly sales forecasting meetings for the specific regions. To prepare the list of products to be reviewed in the forecasting meetings based on the 80/20 rule (forecasting exceptions, sales value, new products, promotions and sales insights). To coordinate, update and track changes made to the sales forecast.
- To prepare the weekly buyers review for the regions to be presented in the weekly sales & operations meetings by working closely with all stakeholders. To support the regional sales managers with information required for the monthly demand management review.
- To assist the head of procurement with the information required for the monthly supply management review.
**The requirements and skills required for this position are**:
- Diploma or degree in supply chain, business administration or related.
- Proficient in Excel, ERP, inventory and/or supply management software (preferably Microsoft Dynamics & Netstock).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
- Ability to understand and calculate inventory and financial ratios.
