**Civil Construction Safety Manager**
- Location: this position is national/ site-based_
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Develop and enforce safety management systems (OHS Act compliant).
- Conduct inspections, audits and incident investigations.
- Mentor and supervise Safety Officers.
- Integrate safety into project planning.
- Track and report safety performance.
- Deliver training and toolbox talks.
- Identify and mitigate site hazards.
- Ensure subcontractor and SMME compliance.
**Competencies**:
- Expert in safety legislation, risk assessments and emergency planning.
- Skilled in incident investigations, auditing and SHEQ management.
- Strong leadership, decision-making and communication.
- Proactive, resilient and safety focused.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Diploma or Degree or NQF Level 5 qualification in SHE Management or a related field.
- SACPCMP registration as a Safety Manager is required.
- 7-10 years of experience in site construction safety management, including leadership of safety teams.
