**Job Description**:
The Technical Sales Manager takes responsibility for the specialized cable and accessory sales and technical advice for customers in the Southern Africa region, including supporting the Export Manager and internal and external sales staff

**Responsibilities**:
Actively support the technical commercial expansion strategy in Africa

Product training to sales team

Joint customer visits at Key Accounts with the sales team and working closely within the sales team providing technical support

Professional and technical support for the customers on site

Consultant for the customers and sales tea in relation to all technical questions

Establish and develop long term customer relationships monitoring the market and identify market potential for the company's products

Continuous alignment with the support to local sales team on technical and project related quotes and questions

Extract BOQs from tender documents

Develop with the third-party suppliers certain products to be locally manufactured

Technical presentations to customers and professional bodies

Technical development on new product launches

Involvement in all technical customer complaints to completion

Attending conferences and workshops

Participating member of SAIMC

**Inherent Requirements**

Qualifications:
Electrical degree or diploma and or comparable work experience

Professional experience in electrical technical sales support

Deep technical understanding and basic knowledge of business administration

Flexible and willingness to travel within African continent as and when required

Key skills:
Computer Literate: MS Office, MS Excel

Excellent English skills required

Enthusiasm, initiative, and ability to work under pressure

Team spirit and strong communication and presentation skills

Strong customer and service orientation and technology skills

Structured and self-dependent working style
