Job Summary

Salary dependent on experience and skills

responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of our fleet of vehicles. This includes engine and gearbox

overhauls, performing roadside assistance, and ensuring the availability of high-quality vehicles for our sales

division.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs
- Conduct routine servicing and maintenance of petrol vehicles in the company fleet.
- Perform mechanical diagnostics and repairs, including engine and gearbox overhauls.
- Address any mechanical issues to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.
- Do daily vehicles safety checks to ensure a full showroom for the sales division

2. Roadside Assistance
- Carry the standby phone when you are on standby
- Provide timely and efficient roadside assistance to company vehicles experiencing mechanical

breakdowns.
- Diagnose and resolve on-site issues and do towing when necessary.
- Ensure excellent customer service.
- Complete client satisfaction form and log malfunctions on system

3. Fleet Quality Management
- Ensure all vehicles meet company standards for reliability and safety before being made available

for rental or sales.
- Perform thorough inspections and quality checks on vehicles designated for the sales division.

4. Documentation and Reporting
- Create job cards on the system
- Report on recurring mechanical issues and suggest improvements to reduce downtime and costs.
- Complete safety checks on system as part of record keeping

5. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the workshop manager, operations team and quality controllers to ensure the

fleet is always operational and customer-ready.
- Provide technical support and advice to colleagues when required.

6. Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 3 Years’ experience as a petrol mechanic, preferably in a fleet or rental

environment
- Strong knowledge of petrol engine systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in overhauling engines and gearboxes.
- Ability to work under pressure, especially during roadside assistance situations.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license (with a PDP preferred).

7. Additional Requirements
- Flexibility to work after hours or weekends, as needed.
- Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks and work environments.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality and safety of all vehicles.
