**Tipper Truck Driver**

**Introduction**

Our organisation seeks to appoint a professional and experienced Tipper Driver who will work on an adhoc basis with our construction team to safely transport all raw materials as and when required.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and ensure the safe loading and unloading of the vehicle monitoring that the maximum legal limit is adhered to for each load.
- Meeting delivery targets at all times and in a safe and efficient manner.
- Carry out Vehicle Pre-Inspections prior to driving.
- Drive vehicle safely; courteously and respectfully at all times in accordance with the law.
- Ensure that on arrival the delivery done safely and all safety protocols regarding driving are adhered to onsite.
- Communicate effectively with Site Management to ensure the smooth running of the operation
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle
- Report any accidents as soon as possible in compliance with the company’s vehicle policy and its accident reporting procedure
- Must plan for truck services, renewal of PDP’s and licenses.

**Requirements**:

- Must have at least passed Grade 10.
- Valid PDP (dangerous goods) and driver’s license (Code 14) a must.
- Construction industry driving experience is a must
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a truck driver and at least Three (3) years’ experience as an “END TIPPER TRUCK DRIVER” very important not side tipper.
- Excellent verbal communication
- Must be able to read, speak and understand different languages (i.e. English and Afrikaans and any other African language)
- Diligent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Flexibility

**Job Type**: Part-time

License/Certification:

- Code 14 driving license (preferred)
