**Essential Job Functions**
- Ensure that freight is being expedited in a safe and timely manner
- Develop and execute policies, plans, and programs to meet anticipated organizational needs in the areas of functional responsibility and ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines.
- Review analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated business development goals and objectives
- Review and evaluate branch P&L performance in relation to the overall country P&L performance and liaise with senior management to ensure budgetary requirements are met.
- Lead growth strategy for the branch in line with overall strategy of the country, region and company as a whole.
- Ensure effective planning and achievement of project long-term and short-term goals.
- Consult with and apprise senior management of important issues, operational concerns, personnel matters, capital expenditures, leases, and all commitments obligating the company.
- Ensure directives, rules, and procedures are communicated to all branch personnel, while also ensuring safety methods and programs are implemented and maintained.
- Utilize superior communication skills to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers, executives, and clients.
- Oversee and manage the professional development and productivity of all staff members to ensure proper goals, training, professional development, and project requirements are met.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within the branch and address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies of the company.
- Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations.
- Ensure that the branch facility provides a clean, professional, and safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop continuous improvement methodology in key areas of service, profit, and growth, and use key performance indicators to drive and quantify cost organization.
- Maximize profitability through superior client service, effective and prompt communications, and follow-up on all pending matters with the client.

**Physical Requirements**

- Experience effectively managing people, with the ability to lead and develop others in achieving company goals and objectives required.
- Ability to allocate decision making authority and/or task responsibilities to others to maximize the organization's and individuals' effectiveness
- Ability to set clear performance expectations and give appropriate recognition for performance.
- Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients and employees.
- Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition.
**Education and Experience**
- High School Diploma/GED is required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
- 10 or more years of related experience required.
- 5 or more years of demonstrated success in leading, supervising, managing and developing high performance teams required.
**Certifications and Licenses**
- Professional certification may be required in some areas.
